The Magic Lies Within

The journey within has been often referred to by the mystics and spiritualists of the past and present. While the process as described is music to ears and a treat to the mind, but in practice those who have tried a hand at it, often have given up attempts in utter frustration of non fulfillment or non achievement. And this is exactly where the catch lies.

The moment you hear about a journey deep within you, your mind, as always jumps up to the occasion promising you castles and heavens that lie deep within you. It simply starts calculation based on past experiences and imaginations. It immediately starts lending false fantasies and visualization; of what will you achieve once you able to undertake a “successful” trip within. It starts accumulating layers of organizational activities as if it were planning for a mega event.

This is beginning of the end of your first ever spiritual pursuit, as you missed the big picture in involving your mind all this while and giving in, to the castles it sold you the moment the first feeling cropped within you to initiate this journey. And once this experience, the mind shall be ever watchful that you are always reminded of your first trial frustrations that may force you to keep away from this journey, ever after.

The way out of this is again from the way within. Let the mind talk, let him talk his heart out. Just watch it talk and keep on that grin. Even if you are able hold the mind for a few moments and let the thoughts float away like the wandering monsoon clouds, you will for the first time realize a deep sense of satisfaction of being in a no-mind state. This state of mindlessness is just the start of the journey. As a lot of people do, do not make any physical attempts to move inwards, there is no such possible way. Do not exert pressure on your eyes or forehead for forced concentration inwards. Just let go. It’s a process that will happen slowly but surely, once it has begun.

There are no castles or heavens, there is no successful trip within, nor there is any achievement. You do not have to acquire or gain anything. It’s already there; it was already there all this while.
Just that you realized it at this moment of time, to experience the existential. The existential that is you, the one that is ONE and complete. The ONE that does not differentiate between life and death, between love and hate, between heaven and hell, without any boundaries of your mindful ego, without any barriers and distances created by time. A state of timelessness, mindlessness, a state of virtual bliss. You actually never lived, either your mind kept you busy with what went right or wrong with past or what you would do to get the future straight. You again missed the picture of today, this moment, NOW. The entire focus, the entire energy base, the entire life lies in this very moment. The next moment is not known, the mind will take you nowhere, rather it has been stopping you to get anywhere. Indulge in the strength of this moment, while watching the mind, dive within, dive in the timeless and keep on that grin. Welcome!
